TVS has launched the 2018 version of the Apache RTR 160 4V with starting price of Rs 81,490 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). This model available with three variants. The Apache RTR 160 is the first model was launched at 2005, over the last couple of years, has received only minor updates. However, the 2018 model gets a major update, and ti desiged inspiration from its elder brother, the Apache RTR 200 4V. 

Variant wise Delhi Showroom Price Details:

• Apache RTR 160 4V (carb, single disc) - Rs 81,490
• Apache RTR 160 4V(carb, dual disc) - Rs 84,490
• Apache RTR 160 4V(Fi, Dual disc) - Rs 89, 990

The 2018 Apache RTR 160 4V gets headlamp design, instrument console, fuel tank and even its LED tail lamp from RTR 200 4V. But, this model get the single seat from its older version and new side panels different one compared to RTR 200 4V. The new 2018 model gets the new monoshock unit at rear and Showa telescopic forks at front.

Mechanically, this model gets the same  159.7cc engine, but now with 4-valve unit and different power tune. This engine delivers 16.8PS(FI) and 16.5PS(carb) at 8000rpm, while peak torque produced is 14.8Nm @ 6500rpm. And, this bike claims a 0-60kmph time of 4.73 seconds for the carb version and 4.8 seconds for the Fi version. Braking duties are carried by 270mm front disc brake and a standard 130mm rear drum unit. And, this model also have  an optional 200m rear disc brake unit.

This model will go against the new Honda X-Blade, Honda Hornet and Hero Xtreme Sports.
