Kawasaki has launched the new Ninja 400 in India at showroom price of Rs 4.69 lakh. The Kawasaki Ninja 400 gets updated styling which is more similar to Ninja's elder sibilings. However, this model have better look compared to Ninja 300. This bike will come to India via the CKD route and this model assembled in India at Kawasaki's plant in Chakan.
This model available with the 2-cylinder parallel-twin, 649 cc capacity engine. This petrol engine delivers the power of 49 bhp (10,000 rpm)and torque of 38 Nm (8000rpm). As expect, this model gives mileage of approximately 20 Kmpl. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox assisted by a slipper clutch. Braking duties are carried by 310mm twin discs in front and 220mm dia disc in rear. And Dual-channel ABS is offered as standard.
The Ninja 400 will be available in limited numbers only. And this model positioned between the Ninja 300 (Rs 3.6 lakh) and Ninja 650 (Rs 5.49 lakh). The bike is available in just one paint option, green with KRT (Kawasaki Racing Team) like other Kawasaki models.
