First Jawa Showroom Inaugurated In Pune
Jawa inaugurated its first two dealerships in India. It is located in Pune at Baner and Chinchwad, called Shakti Automobiles and NSG Jawa, respectively. Both the showrooms were inaugurated by Boman Irani, one of the three founders of Classic Legends, and Ashish Joshi, CEO of Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd. All Jawa dealerships will have a similar theme and will have different sections for riding accessories. Recentely, Jawa Motorcycles was launched 3 new motorcycles in India - the Jawa, Jawa 42 and a factory custom bobber called the Perak. These models have been priced at Rs 1.64 lakh, 1.55 lakh and 1.89 lakh, respectively (All prices ex-showroom Delhi).
The Jawa and Jawa 42 model deliveries are expect to begin early next year, while factory custom bobber, the Perak deliveries are start later date. Classic Legends, a Mahindra owned subsidiary is the manufacturer launched the Jawa bikes in India. These models gets the lot of design elements from the original classic Jawa. Mechanically, Jawa and Jawa 42 powered by Mahindra Mojo-derived 293cc, BSVI-compliant, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This motor delivers the power of 27bhp and 28Nm of peak torque. And, this engine mated to six speed manual transmission. On other hand, The Perak is powered by 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This motor delivers the power of 30bhp and 31Nm of peak torque.
The Jawa and Jawa 42 gets 280mm disc brake in front with ABS while the rear runs a conventional 153mm drum brake. And these models have seat height of 765mm and a kerb weight of just 170kg. The factory custom bobber, the Perak additionally gets swingarm, monoshock, disk brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS and a slightly fatter Pirelli tyres. The Jawa and Jawa 42 will expect to give tough competetion to segment leader Royal Enfield.
