JAWA is a motorcycle and moped manufacturer founded in Prague, Czechoslovakia in 1929. Ideal Jawa (India) Ltd was an Indian motorcycle company based in Mysore which sold licensed Jawa motorcycles beginning in 1960 under the brand name Jawa and from 1973 as Yezdi. JAWA is one of the famous model in 1970s and 1980s. Due to increasing levels of pollution control norms, Company was forced to shut down the production in 1996.

Mahindra was signed an exclusive brand license agreement with JAWA for India and select geographies in Asia in 2017. Finally, Mahindra was again launched the JAWA brand in India at 2018, through Classic Legends company.
